Pediatric Services

RehabSource for Kids, the pediatric division of RehabSource, is dedicated to using the combined knowledge and creativity of our pediatric Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists to focus on each child’s specific needs.

Physical Therapy for Children

Our physical therapists work with children to improve balance, strength, posture and motor control. While focusing on each child’s strengths, they will develop gross motor skills like rolling, walking and jumping to help increase a child’s mobility in their school environment. Our physical therapists may also recommend and fit bracing or other adaptive equipment.

Occupational Therapy for Children

Through play our therapists help children develop fine motor and eye hand coordination skills needed to progress at school in areas such as feeding, writing, and cutting. Our therapists also work on teaching adaptive techniques and sensory strategies for students to succeed in their school environment.

Speech Therapy for Children

Our therapists focus on articulation and oral motor function while working on the structures and functions of the mouth. Through the use of oral motor therapy, our therapists work on range of motion and coordination of movement, of the tongue, teeth, lips, and jaw. Language is the understanding and use of symbols to communicate. Our therapists use games to teach these rules as well as the social skills of language such as turn taking, eye contact and reading facial expressions.

RehabSource for Kids is dedicated to developing programs for children, who have developmental delays, neuromuscular diagnoses and sensory integration deficits. Our therapists work closely with children, parents and teachers to understand each child’s personal and educational needs. Such an understanding will enable our therapists to design an enjoyable program, which will allow our patients to achieve their greatest potential.
